Lip Augmentation

Full and vivacious lips have always been recognized as an aesthetically important feature. Some of us, however, are born with thin, ill-defined lips, or our lips lose their fullness with age. But the appearance of our lips is now within our control. Fine lines and wrinkles, thin lips and a drooping corner of the mouth are all areas that can be aided with injectable fillers. The market is ever changing, with new products appearing rapidly. Care is individualized to provide safe and effective treatment.

There are several different options to enhance the lips, each offering patients different benefits. Injectable fillers such as Restylane®, JUVÉDERM® and RADIESSE® are performed on an outpatient basis and are injected directly into the lips for safe, noticeable results that can last for several months.* Additional injections can help maintain the results of this procedure.

The outcome is typically immediately visible, although swelling may occur for several days following the injection. Normal daily activities can be resumed immediately afterward, with no downtime necessary. Complications are uncommon, but be sure to discuss any potential risks for the specific filler you will be receiving with your doctor prior to the procedure.*

Hand Rejuvenation

As we age, the skin on our hands can change just as much as the skin on our face, resulting in thinner, sagging skin and an increased visibility of the tendons and veins. Hand rejuvenation is a restorative treatment that combines skin fillers such as Sculptra® and RADIESSE® with laser treatments such as Fraxel® to replace lost volume and improve the overall appearance of the hand.

The skin of the hand is first injected with a biocompatible filler that stimulates collagen production and thickens the skin, making tendons and veins less visible. Desired results can usually be achieved after a series of two to three treatments spaced six weeks apart. Laser treatments work with the filler to improve the texture of the skin while also removing sun spots and other unwanted blemishes. A series of four laser treatments spaced a month apart can help patients see significant results.*
